Hello! I’m Michelle (she/her). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University, where my studies focused on gender, sex, sexuality, and relationships. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Promotional Communication from Cleveland State, firmly believing that communication is at the heart of healthy, connected relationships.
I work with both individuals and couples, helping people navigate life’s challenges while building deeper connection with themselves and the people they love. In my work with couples, I help partners move beyond surface-level conflict to better understand the emotions, fears, needs, and attachment patterns that shape their interactions. Whether couples are struggling with communication, intimacy, trust, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from one another, I believe relationships thrive when both partners feel seen, valued, and understood.
With over a decade of experience as a certified yoga teacher, I am passionate about understanding how our experiences shape both our minds and bodies. Mindfulness weaves into every aspect of life, and I embrace the reality that healing and growth are rarely linear. Having navigated my own winding path, I’ve found that slowing down, tuning into ourselves, and approaching life with curiosity can create meaningful opportunities for change.
I take a post-modern stance in therapy, recognizing that every individual and relationship is unique. In sessions, curiosity, humor, compassion, and accountability are used to explore emotions, patterns, relationships, and life experiences. My approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual or couple and may incorporate techniques from the Gottman Method (certified ongoing), somatic therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment theory, and contemporary relationship research.
When not thinking up new dad jokes, I enjoy traveling, yoga, running with my husband, learning patience from our two pups, and balancing a love for adventure with a love for being fireside at my home in Lakewood.
My pronouns are she/her.
I see clients in-person and virtually.
