Moving with Intention:  An Authentic Movement Group Practice

Authentic Movement is a form of dance/movement therapy that involves moving material from our psyche through our physical bodies while being observed by a compassionate witness.  The goal of authentic movement is to bridge the gap between conscious intention and unconscious material by following your inner impulse to move.  In this group, we will make our internal experiences tangible by processing the authentic movement experience through art or writing, and then sharing with a compassionate witness.  During each session you are invited to explore a theme provided by the facilitator or bring your own intention for exploration.
